I was never the teenage girl who followed the latest trend - or was even aware of it. While I definitely had a personal style, it’s not one that I would call flattering (oscillating between too mature and too causal). I’ve always been function and comfort above style and *cringe* sometimes even appropriateness.

I still don’t have a lot of confidence in my ability to pull off a finished outfit, but I do have a better understanding of what works for me. I love greys and blues in clothing, but more than colour, I’m attracted to visual textures.

I’m in the process of trying to develop a new personal style - one that feel comfortable to me, yet shows that I care about myself to the rest of the world.

Welcome Kary- We’re so happy to have you hear. We’re all trying to get ourselves together, but this site AND forum has really great tips on how to pull it off..

Hi Kary and welcome! I think many of us struggle with trying to find our personal style, but you’ll definitely find lots of great help from forum members—feel free to post some questions (and advice!)  . . .
