The Budget Fashionista

Hmmm, knock-offs usually come from some outside source, but in this case Topshop is knocking off it’s own designer collaboration: http://fashionista.com/2008/09/adventures_in_copyright_topsho.php. Now, I don’t particularly care for the shoe, but it’s an interesting trend, selling a high-end and then “budget” (well at $85, not super budget) version.

Ok my dream shoe is a black satin Christian Louboutin peep-toe (with 2 teen boys -it’s my wildest dream) When will they go to college.  Oh wait I got off track.  Anyway…. If CL made a knock off of his shoe I don’t think I could buy the fake.  I’d always know I didn’t grab that dream.  Yes, I realize it’s a little sick to have a dream to own a $675 shoe… but I have an illness and I’m comfortable with it. So sue me.
