Though society on the whole is moving towards viewing mature women as beautiful and stylish but there are certainly still fashion stereotypes that are bestowed upon older women (granny panties, anyone?). So what mature fashion stereotypes do people try to apply to you, or mature fashionistas on the whole, that make you crazy?

It drives me crazy that the fashion czars assume they know what my body size/type/shape is. Not all of us are experiencing middle aged spread, but those of us who aren't still don't want to wear things that the teens are wearing. We want things in our sizes which are appropriate for our age, yet look fashionable and timeless. Don't assume I need something to camoflage my butt/thighs/belly. Maybe I do and maybe I don't. Middle aged women come in all sizes too!

I agree, there's not enough styles or sizes for anything that's not a size 0.

There are those things that mature women impose on themselves. I see my mom insisting on going by old fashion rules that only limit her and don't make her look her best. That drives me nuts.

On TV and in magazines kid, Mom (looking 18) and Grandma (gray haired and holding a home made pie). My married kids are not 18 and I may be a bottle blonde, but most of my roots are brown. I may be throwing a Mrs. Smith pie in the oven, but I'm running out earlier for a new shirt.
