After New York Fashion Week notably minimalist in terms of accessories, Milan Fashion Week is putting the focus on accessories, particularly shoes, hats and scarves (read more here from Reuters).
According to Reuters, designers are focusing on accessories knowing that in this economy spending on luxury goods will decline—but this is a theory that is not supported by the NY show. So, we’re not sure what the real deal is but thought it was interesting to see a contrast. Oh, and in Milan, the trends for accessories were to wide brimmed black straw hats, black shiny jewelry, smooth metal cuffs, and purple and mauve printed silk scarves . . .
