I just got this beautiful print maxi dress (http://www.barkins.com.au/ecatalogue/index.html) with an empire line. As I’m only 5’5”, I’m thinking of wearing them with my pair of gold strappy platform sandals (4” heel)--despite the fact that the TBF mentioned earlier that heels complicate the look. Even with these high heels, the dress is too long. What’s the best length then for a maxi dress with heels? I think a maxi dress looks best with espadrilles or flats, as long as the dress falls around the ankles. Honestly, I’m not sure if I like a maxi dress with platform heels, but that’s my take.

I took the dress in and decided to let it be just a little above the ground. Mmm, I see what you mean about a maxi dress with platforms, but I think the print is too beautiful to wear too casually in everyday use and with flats. Though...maybe jewel thongs might do.
