The Budget Fashionista

I just got this beautiful print maxi dress (http://www.barkins.com.au/ecatalogue/index.html) with an empire line. As I’m only 5’5”, I’m thinking of wearing them with my pair of gold strappy platform sandals (4” heel)—despite the fact that the TBF mentioned earlier that heels complicate the look. Even with these high heels, the dress is too long. What’s the best length then for a maxi dress with heels? I think a maxi dress looks best with espadrilles or flats, as long as the dress falls around the ankles. Honestly, I’m not sure if I like a maxi dress with platform heels, but that’s my take.

I took the dress in and decided to let it be just a little above the ground. Mmm, I see what you mean about a maxi dress with platforms, but I think the print is too beautiful to wear too casually in everyday use and with flats. Though…maybe jewel thongs might do.
