Okay guys -- women are always talking about shows like Sex and the City for fashion inspiration -- is there a TV show or movie that's inspired your fashion? And ladies -- is there a man in your life who models his style after a TV idol, etc.?
In one alcohol-filled weekend in college, I saw both Hedwig and the Angry Inch and Velvet Goldmine, and they changed my aesthetic self-image drastically and permanently. Also, Tim Burton movies (imagine Batman villains plus Willy Wonka).
Sometimes people think my wardrobe is inspired by 80s pop music, and while I can see the resemblance, I believe that is more due to synchronicity than direct influence.
