My #1 fashion tip is to buy one fabulous-can’t live with out it-makes all the other girls jealous-sent down from heaven outfit. That’s a WHOLE outfit, shoes, accessories, everything. Every time you put it on, you will feel great and super hot.  So every bad hair day, every Monday that you have to drag yourself out of bed, every time you feel like you have nothing to wear, you can just put on the outfit and know you look amazing.

Oh, and here’s a tip to follow that tip: Every time you get home after wearing the outfit, wash it right away so it will be ready for you the next time you need it!

Quite right.

If you have 3 or 4 of these “ensembles” that you can put together for the work week, that is a great way to start building up a wardrobe. THEN you add in the basics that you haven’t already got to make up your ensembles.

Everything goes together, you have a weeks worth of ready made clothing selections, and by adding in the neutrals and classics like the pencil skirt or the perfect black pants or the supreme jewel of a blazer or the soft black turtleneck sweater or white blouse then you can start to mix and match and wear the ensemble items in a mixture of ways.

But start with 3 of the ensembles first. And I totally agree, get the whole deal.

I’ve noticed that clothes and accessories are made to go with each other when they are bought in the same season. The proportions work, the colours work well with each other, and even the prints usually work well. The costume jewelry is right, as are the shoes and purses.
