I'm planning on vacationing in the tropics and I need to pack as lightly as
possible. I'm interested in buying a sandal that's comfortable, stylish and
versatile for walking around, hanging on the beach and going out in the
evening. any suggestions would be highly appreciated!

i'm not overly preppy but since you are vacationing in the tropics you could spoil yourself with a steven salario pair I like the white on white and silver here: http://www.splashofpink.com/product/detail…NDAL/?of1=&

Teva MUSH!! LOVE LOVE LOVE these sandals, so so so comfy & you can usually get them for cheap at REI OUTLET - http://www.rei.com/outlet/.  I wear them with shorts, dresses & pretty much everything!

Ok, those look like a total rip off of Jack Rogers sandals & even though they are all really cute I am not sure about the comfort level. I know that Lilly Pulitzer shoes are WAY WAY uncomfy & I would double think buying shoes from their site. Don't get me wrong I LOVE Lilly - going to the warehouse sale in 2 weeks - but the shoes will leave you wanting.

Have you tried ES? I have the cutest sandals from them (and they are cushy as well, meaning you can wear them for extended periods of time). I love mine because I can wear them to work and out with my friends on the weekend =)

Here's a link (couldn't figure out how to post a pic): http://tinyurl.com/35peuf

The most comfortable sandals I own are a pair of two-strap birkenstocks. I know they have them in fun and fashionable colors/styles on QVC's website.

it is simple: belly dance foot jewels. because of my heigth difference with my groom, that is what me and my brides maids are wearing. you cannot go wrong with them! I wear them out doors even.

Love my Birks, but have to admit they are not the most stylish sandals around. I also love my MEPHISTOS (similar in style to Birkenstocks).

Aerosoles, and Naturalizer. Or born. Born while expensive is really high quality… and really beautiful. almost moreso than Aerosoles and Naturalizers

I bought these for this summer. I am really short so I wanted something that is comfy with some height. I seriously want to wear these everyday!

Those are cute Calamity! However, I have a thing the material that goes between my toes. It has to be soft or I get blisters like you would not believe. I seriously stayed about from thongs for years because of that but then I found my MUSH…lol
