Plaid will definitely be on-trend this fall, though how much it catches on with mid-level and budget retail consumers remains to be seen—on the runway, though, it’s been seen in everything from skirts to dresses to shirts—you name it. Also, in unusual color palettes, and it seems, frequently in the context of kind of retro glam pieces (think 20s, 30s, 40s).
Plaid jackets (especially cropped/swing) were hot last fall, so if you happened to have picked one up then they should still work great for this fall . . .
