TBF, I think you wrote in your book that celebrities are the ultimate budget fashionistas in that they get the expensive things for free even though they’re the only ones who can actually afford them.

I think it would be rather fun knowing that celebs are buying the same things that I do.

Yep.. I did.. They are the ulitmate budget fashionistas from that perspective. However, to say that a celebrity wearing a pair of leggings means they’ve “embraced” budget fashion ( As I wrote in this morning post) is pretty ridiculous. SJP wearing a $9 dress from S&B;- cool. Jessica Alba wearing a free dress from Ralph Lauren, cool.

I just find it very interesting how some celebrities change based on the market conditions. For ex: Iman has always had one foot in with the “people”, my first make-up purchase was from her collection at JcPenney’s. On the other hand Kate Hudson, whom I’m sure never, ever watched HSN in her life, is on the network selling clothing with a designer. I guess it just highlights even more that they’re products.

I always wondered if celebrities actually need budget fashion? I mean, don’t they get most of their clothes free from designers since they are walking billboards on the red carpet and other public places they go, even if they only wear them once and have to return them to the designer?
