I have several… A canadian magazine called Lulu, which I feel has more advice and less ads and GQ/Esquire because I really like the articles and the New York times style section..... But for the most part I read blogs..

I LOVE Lucky magazine. I love to get ideas of the latest fashions there and they offer links to great deals. I can't necessarily afford the clothes they feature, but I can see what's hot now and then go buy the discount version!

OMG! Kathryn, I love LouLou. It is my fave. It introduced me to fashion, and really got me interested in it. thank god for doctors lobbies. I love your webbie and I love reading it to keep hip on all trends. Hello Cobalt blue! I also keep up to date by checking the trends section of Neiman Marcus, especially the jewelry. I also love to read your website to remember what the basics are, and also this one called woman wardrobe needs. In conjuction, I get a perfect mix of what I need and what will just jazz up what I have.

InStyle - more for the pretty pictures, though. There's not really that much on realistic fashions. I cannot really afford most of the fashion "advice" given out in fashion magazines

It has stuff that could be in my price range (if I wanted to splurge a little). I look at Vogue for inspiration, but realistically, I'm not going to be buying anything from there.
Looks like I'm going to have to check out Lucky! Lots of positive reviews here.

I like Lucky too! I also frequently see things in there that I can really wear.

I like Lucky, but sometimes I feel that is more of a catalog than an actual magazine.. but if you ever get a chance to read the Canadian Mag Loulou check it out.. It really is better than Lucky

Oh, Lucky is and was designed to feel like a catalog. That's one of the reasons they have those stickers to post on products you like. I remember some of the industry rags writing about how Lucky started the rise of the "magalogs." Lucky is one of my favorite magazines because it is unapologetic about what it is--no world news, crisis of the month, diet stories, or health stories stuck in it. Lucky, however, seems to be the only one left. (Shop Etc. went the way of the dinosaur.)
My Favorite Magazines:
1. Lucky
2. Instyle
3. Figure (because it is the only plus-size magazine still being published)
4. Harper's Bazaar (I could go 50-50 with it)
I used to LOVE Marie Claire but they got a little too full of themselves since their redesign, and I find their redesign boring. I miss Mode and Grace magazines like nobody's business.

Use to love Bazaar- but once it started to put the startlet of the month on the cover, I was done…
Instyle is good, although I sometimes get a little sick of the focus on celebrity luncheons…
Figure is okay and is only around because it's the magazine of Lane Bryant stores

Glamour is my absolute favorite. I read Vogue only to see clothes that I will never see anywhere else.

I really like LOULOU. Basically, it's Canada's answer to Lucky. Every month it contains useful features like "The Guide" (which gives you fashion and beauty how to tips) and "More Or Less" (which shows you how to get the same look of an outfit for two different prices - "because you shouldn't have to choose betweens style and savings"). Like Lucky, it includes stickers to mark items you like as you browse through the magazine, and I also enjoy the fresh look of the layout. Mostly, I just love that it's a Canadian Magazine, with Canadian prices, and lists Canadian stores to shop from. It used to be so heartbreaking to look through American magazines and not be able to purchase half the things listed in it! It's the only fashion magazine I buy regularly anymore.
Other than that, I just surf the net. I find some blogs (whether they be about beauty or baking) are just as good, if not better than magazines with their advice and tips.

My fave is Lucky magazine but I also check out InStyle, Marie Claire and my new fave Nylon. Nylon is not so much fashion but it's a nice blend of everything for me at least...I'm going to check out LouLou. If I can get my hands on it.

I LOVE Allure, it gives great beauty and makeup advice and tips. Now I don't buy anything without consulting it first. I also Love Elle because of its pictures and articles. I think Vogue can be quite stuffy and I also don't like how Vogue supports the use of fur, they refuse to put paid anti-fur ads in their mag. On the other hand, Elle DOES allow anti-fur ads to be placed in some of their mags. I loved eLLEgIRL, I thought it was way more original than the other mainstream teen mags of the time.
