While most of us grown-ups can manage to transition to the next season without adding to our wardrobe if we must, school shopping is an inevitability (those darn kids keep growing out of stuff, after all . . . ). So, in service to all those parents out there trying to figure out how to stretch their back-to-school dollar, I thought I’d put out the call for tips and advice on how to do it right . . .
Of course, there are always the sales (I find that JCPenney, especially for boys, has great stuff and great deals), and some states/cities have “sales tax free” periods for school-related items (including clothing). But anyone else have tips to help us penny-scavenging parents out?
