Hi all, I just wanted to say that I think this site is a marvelous idea!
As a “plus size” woman (who really hates that dopey term!) I am truly looking forward to being able to see how this site may be able to help me find places to shop at reasonable prices and read other women’s comments about various fashionable places to shop and things to avoid.
I’ve had a hellish time finding great, comfortable bras that fit and don’t kill my shoulders --- I’d love to see what people have to say about that here.... BUT for now, I’m just awfully glad to have found this site!
Peace, and happy shopping (on a budget). :-)

Hi wolfwitch, and welcome to the forum. Not sure if this will help, but we did a post awhile back on best bras for a big bust (you can find it here: http://www.thebudgetfashionista.com/archive/best-bras-for-a-big-bust-fashion-advice/ ). Looking forward to getting your input around here!

Hi, I am Angie and I love your site!
I love fashion, I love shopping and I am always striving to look better.  I love to mix and
match stuff and occasionally take risks.  I literally have clothes from 10 years ago that I still wear
along with my new pieces.  I believe in the power of accessories.  I believe a woman does not need to
be a certain size to look great.  Work with what your mama gave u!

Hello!  Thrift stores, discount racks, overstock retailers and a whole lot of at home mending and sewing have made up the bulk of my wardrobe.  Does anyone else stock pile their old Vogue and W fall/spring editions?  I’d like to think that most gals(and maybe guys) here are of the fashion-savvy, style-quirky and budget-smart type.  It’’s great!  Thanks.

Hi Nicole and welcome to the forum! Take a look around and be sure to post questions/request advice, as our members are always ready to help!

What kind of job do you need a wardrobe for? I’d suggest a post in the fashion advice section, with a few more details, and I’m sure we’ll have some good suggestions for you . . .

Hi Fellow Fashionistas,
I just found this site and really like it.  What with the present economy, we’re all trying to save money and still stay fashionable, right?  I’d like to introduce myself with a little self-promotion for our shop, The ReCycle Studio.  We’re Fort Washington, Maryland’s only consignment boutique specializing in gently worn upscale and designer clothing, shoes and accessories.  Please come and visit our new social community at http://www.therecyclestudio.ning.com

I’m the self-proclaimed Evangelist of Social Media Marketing for The ReCycle Studio.  Surprisingly, that is a bona fide title and there is a plethora of experts out there.  I, however, claim only to be a student, investigating it’s many possibilities.  If there are any other small fashion businesses out there trying to crack this new marketing phenomenon, please drop me a line.  I’d love to start a conversation.

Ramona

Hello, everyone.  I am so excited to have found this site!  I love the thrill of bargain-shopping and finding the look for less.  In my field of work (TV), I have to look stylish everyday, but don’t have quite the funds right now for the latest and greatest designers.

Hi everyone! I found out about The Budget Fashionista a few years ago and have been a fan ever since.  I keep the book close by and full of dog ears to help me on my fashion journey.  I can’t wait to chat with everyone and get more insight into the varied world of fashion.
