and when you find a great store or outlet, put in the address phone number and if there is a helpful assistant, her name.
Jot down a few details (great inexpensive trendy tops or outlet for Peter and Bianca Nygard or the best fitting shoes). Not everything you might buy there, just enough to jog your memory as to why it is special.
ESPECIALLY if you live in a smaller town and go to the big city a few times a year. You can maximize your shopping there.
REMEMBER to add the dates when you found particularly fine specials. I scored 80% off the last markdown on Calvin Klein and Jones New York items at a boutique I just found in the big city. I talked it over with the salesgirl who helped me, and I’ve written all that info down. I know when their next big sale will be approximately, and I have their phone number to call ahead and ask next time I’m in the city.
Otherwise I forget. I go on a trip to the big city, and I can’t remember where the shoe place is, or I can’t find a phone book to call and ask if they are open over the holiday.
Put a wish list on a page in the notebook-- things that you need over the next little while like new bras soon or I need to replace my best black pants or I want a top in this summers hot colour)
Put a price limit on the items like panties--Warners lace style xyz in blush to replace panty wardrobe. Size L, don’t pay more than 20$ and try to pay 5$
this keeps you on track with what you really need first and the price range to get it in.
Rip out the page if it’s no longer needed to keep the notebook current, and start a new one eventually, transferring your favourite addresses to the new book.
Think of it as a little black book like guys keep, only instead of hot dates, there are directions to your personal fashion mother lode.
