Okay, this is going to sound weird, but at some point when my skin was feeling particularly stressed by winter, I slapped on a makeshift mask using—now don’t laugh—an aloe hair conditioner. I have to say, it seems to have helped, and is significantly cheaper by the squirt than, say, a fancy made-for-the-face moisturizing mask. Soooo, am I crazy or does this make sense to anyone else?

Wow, awesome idea! Aloe is a major skin soothing ingredient - so that may have helped.

I use conditioner as a shave gel. It works SO MUCH BETTER than regular shaving gels and lathers. It makes my leg skin super slippery so the blade glides easier and I get a really really close shave. Use some cheap Suave conditioner you can get at walmart for under a dollar. ;o)

Angela, using conditioner as a skin moisturizer makes perfect sense, especially when travelling.

My family and I spent part of Passover at my parents’ house. At night, I usually apply hand lotion just before bed, but I couldn’t find any. Instead, I found some Nice and Easy Conditioner, so I put a dab on my hands. It worked.

I’ve used conditioner as a shave cream, too, in a pinch, and you are right—worked great! Glad to know I’m not alone . . .
