Okay this is getting crazy ridiculous… Seriously… I think we all should develop our own fashion lines

Reality TV star Heidi Montag is following in the footsteps of her The Hills rival Lauren Conrad by launching her own budget fashion line.

Montag’s Heidiwood range includes dresses, jeans, bags and jewellery priced at under $60.

The line will go on sale at U.S. store Anchor Blue from April (08).

Montag admits her new line was inspired by her former castmate’s high-price clothing: “Lauren’s line is not necessarily something I would wear - she’s trying a high-fashion thing, but it’s a little over-priced.

“Mine is fun and flirty for the everyday woman. Most people can’t afford $200 for one dress.”

Montag’s announcement comes a day after Conrad launched her LC Collection at Los Angeles Fashion Week (11Mar08).

Kathryn—I’m ready when you are.

At least Lauren Conrad is actually working in something related to the fashion industry, and studying as well (even if it is for a TV show . . . )

As far as Heidi Montag is concerned? Yikes.

Anyone else?

Honestly, I just ignore the name behind the brand. If it works for me and doesn’t cost too much, then I’ll get it. Having said that, I have two oblong scarves, one by Ralph Lauren and the other by Oscar de la Renta. They were on sale at Lord & Taylor, and with my mom’s coupon, they cost me $40 and change. I wouldn’t have bought them if I didn’t love them and didn’t know how to make them work for me, but it’s nice to have a couple of designer names :P

By the way, I’m happy to work with anyone interested in starting a new line.

Couldn’t bear to make this a thread all it’s own, but the buzz is that Lindsey Lohan is going to design a line of leggings (http://www.styledash.com/2008/03/14/lindsay-lohan-coming-out-with-a-line-of-leggings/).

I’m speechless . . .

So yeah I think it is a little crazy too....but I kinda am curious as to what her line is going to look like.  Sometimes it seems that celebs think they can do just about everything just because they are famous....Sorry to say I don’t think I will be wearing Heidiwood clothing anytime in the near future (I think thats what I read her line was called)
