I am a new member a Fashionista and was curious where members buy online. What specific stores everyone shop at. I do not have the time to visit local stores, 95% of my shopping is online. I have a rule to ony buy from stores that offer free shipping and to buy inexpensive clothing, which takes a lot of time searching and some “sales” are not bargains at all. I like http://www.eshoptheworld.net because of its choices and convenience, but what other sites are out there?

Overstock.com
Drugstore.com
Beauty.comwww
Piperlime.com

Those are a couple of my favorites!  I always look around for free shipping deals too since I shop online A LOT!  :)

I really like going to the stores. So I’ll list those first. And I’ll list the ones I take my teens to (or the ones they buy from online) as well, so you get a better overall picture. This is in the last few months.
The Stores:
Target , Tilly’s, TJ Maxx, Forever 21
JC Penney’s, J Jill , Macy’s,
Nordstrom Rack, Van’s, Hot Topic

Online:

Tilly’s
The House
Victoria’s Secret
J Peterman
ITunes Shop
Sierra Trading Post (great for outdoor gear, and some clothing)

Cutesygirl.com and classiccloseouts.com are both great sites for inexpensive clothes and shoes.

I’ll shop Old Navy online, because I know their sizing (generally) and shipping is usually inexpensive. My daughter likes to shop Hollister clearance online, but shipping varies . . . still, there are great clearance deals online for those in that demographic.

For designer stuff (with huge discounts . . . for designer) Bluefly.com can’t be beat.

This is a tough one for me as far as clothing goes..because of sizing...but here is what I am LEARNING to do.  Know your dimensions and then look carefully at the sizing chart for the specific store you are ordering from.  It can really vary. Actually what I do is keep on hand the sizing charts for the outlets I buy at and then can be a bit more confident when ordering online. It’s not foolproof but a bit safer.

I have used:  Appleseed’s, Lands’ End, Coldwater Creek, Travelsmith.  These are NOT EXACTLY budget retailers but when they have sales they BECOME reliable and value-conscious choices.  With Lands’ End and Coldwater Creek you can return your online purchases at their stores which is convenient.

I sometimes use Amazon.com for beauty products but not before checking them out at a bricks-and-mortar store FIRST.

Also have bought shoes online but again usually only after I have tried them on at a shoe store.

And finally, yes, FREE SHIPPING is important these days.

I love Forever21.com. Usually, the stores are a mess, fitting room lines are rediculously long, and the deals aren’t worth rummaging through all the junk for. But the website is very well organized, and if things don’t fit, they offer free returns to the store. Right now, they’re offering free shipping for the $75+ orders. Another good thing about the online store is that I can create a “wish list” and email it to my best friend for her opinion. The quality items are hard to find in the store; but abundant online. :)

Hope this helps!

Em
