Hi All -

I just bought some skinny jeans (although they are a little more straight-leg than skinny… my behind just won't let me go completely skinny!) and am wondering what type of shoes can I wear with them other than boots? Since its almost spring where I live, I don't want to invest in boots I can wear for another couple weeks. Are wedges too clunky? Any suggestions?

I think that kitten heels or full on stilettos would be perfect.

Depending on your style - ballet flat - or any flat actually. I am partial to metallics since you can get the most for your money with them PLUS they are pretty much a year round [sans the snow] shoe.  Chuck Taylor's are another option if you want a laid back look.

You need to see how long the pants are. Where they hit - your ankle? down to the floor? your instep? Depending on the length will also help decide what type of shoe.

More power to you with the skinny pants! My calves are too dang muscular but I can't complain because I am a BIG fan of the boyfriend cut jean!!

Let me know what type of shoes you go with!

Great options - thanks! Likely I'll look for stilettos would be my best choice since I'm ridiculously short! I'm going to search this weekend. Any excuse to buy new shoes style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif

Not that it is a huge fashion leap, but I think sandals go best with long jeans. Iw ear apple bottoms myself. For me, sandals help me avoid being even taller.

I would say peep toe flats or heels for a spring-ish touch style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif

when you wear ballet slippers with the long skinny jeans, you don't wear socks with them, right?

I am mildly obsessed with ballet flats (esp. with skinny jeans) they are just so cute and comfy. I would also try a wedge with them to get that added height (and if they are open toe even better - very springy/summery)

I think all of the above are excellent suggestions. I wear mostly skinny jeans and just discovered that a comfort sandal like a Birk or Born can look really cute when paired with skinnys and one of the ethnic flowy tops that are so prevalent now. My Borns are metallic and strappy and I never would have guessed they would have gone with skinny jeans but with a voluminous top it looks more pulled together somehow.
