I love seeing what other people use for makeup and skincare, because I really get to see what works for other people. I found many of my favorites from review centres and what was highly rated. Its a bit like a roundtable and its always really fun.

Juice Organics Brightening Cleanser (used when I haven’t worn makeup that day) - will repurchase
Juice Organics Nourishing Cleanser (to remove makeup) - will repurchase
Tea Tree Oil with water (overall toner) - love love love it
Kinesys SPF 30 Oil Free Sunscreen, liquid (great for my oily skin)

True Match Foundation + L’Oreal Transformance moisturizer (on trouble areas) - not so hot about True Match, but love transformance
True Match Foundation (on problem spots)
Physicians Formula Mineral Wear Loose Powder - I LOVE THIS!!!!!
Tarte “we wish you happiness” cheekstain set - LOVE IT! I hate powder blush and the cost of this.
Cargo The Medium Bronzer- I like it, but will look into drugstore options

Maybelline Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner black- hate the wand, I use L’Oreals wand with this formulation
Revlon Liquid Eyeliner Brown - I like it
L’Oreal Line Intensifique - LOVE IT!
Smashbox eye and cheek palette from ulta - the pale beige and yellow shadows make my eyes pop!
Maybelline Full N’ Soft - makes your lashes like its name

Sally Hansen Diamond Lip Treatment in Princess Pink - lightly plumps + shimmer and gloss makes them look huge (LOVE)
Covergirl Incredifull - hate the colors, love the plumping
Aveeno lipbalm
Smackers lipbalm in Dr. Pepper - overtop vaseline and underneath my diamond lip, this is a sheer juicy and sparkly hue

How Do You Pick a Hairstylist?

For me, finding a hair stylist has always been a little hit or miss - I’ve moved a lot and have sometimes been super lucky to find a great hairstylist right away, and other times have suffered through some unfortunate haircuts/colors before finding success. Mostly, I’ve found word of mouth to be the best method, but when you go somewhere new and don’t know anyone, how do you pick a hairstylist?

I seem to be cursed in that once I find a facial moisturizer I like (that’s in my budget) they seem to stop making it (or it just becomes unavailable at all my usual beauty supply haunts like Target, Walmart, CVS . . . ) For example, loved my Nivea Q10 facial moisturizer—and now can’t find it anywhere. So I’m looking for a new product that’s similarly effective, and also doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. Anyone?

Is Crimped Hair a Yea or Nay?

While I don’t think two celebs in crimped hair (and one for a photo shoot) makes it “back” it got me to thinking—is this a trend you’d like to see return? Would you crimp? Do you crimp?

...I DON’T WANT: GLOSS… SHEER.. Plumpming OR anything that the stores are Promoting NOW…

I.. I do want “long-wearing"… with plenty of color Good Old Fashion Lipstick…

... I DO have a PROBLEM with any kind of “PINK” turning.... MAUVE..... on me.. If any of you can suggest something
that BLOCKS my own lip color.. to let me start from a clean slate, such as a “Color-Blocker”, I would appreciate it..

I used to do this several years ago, and got pretty good at it (this is on short, kinda spikey hair). I haven’t had to do it for many years, but as I am currently unemployed (grrr) I find myself thinking about doing this again...but I’m kind of nervous about it, plus it’s a long process (not to mention messy!).

Does anyone else lop their own locks to save a few dollars? How did it turn out?

I have a lot of blackheads on my nose. Is there any way to vanquish them? Or any products that will help make them disappear? I’ve tried everything from pore strips to St. Ives facial scrub. If you have any info on extractions, that would help, too. Thanks for your time.

Tips for Putting on Liquid Eyeliner?

I just wrote a post about how much I love Wet N’ Wild’s H2O waterproof liquid eyeliner—and while i do love it, I have NOT mastered the whole liquid liner thing. Anyone have any tips for best application??? Thanks!
