Ever since our post on neon nails, I’ve thought about experimenting with color. Red is my favorite color for nail polish (and basically everything else), but I want to go crazy. I’ve started tentatively wearing different colors--right now I have on an orangey/hot pink color.

So I’ve come to my fellow fashionistas for opinions--would you go as bold as yellow or blue or orange, or are you stick to purples and pinks this season full of bright colors?

I’m a fan of the look of full lips, but definitely not interested in taking drastic measures to get them—so I’m curious about lipglosses and lipsticks that claim to plump lips. I recently picked up Wet n’ Wild’s Mega Plump lip plumping gloss (I tried it in Clear Ice)—smells very pepperminty, and the gloss is pretty, not too slippery, and sticks around—but did it plump my lips? Maybe a little, enough to make me want to continue using it, but not a dramatic difference by any means. So I’m wondering—anyone try other brands with great results? Do tell!

It’s an on-going problem for us girls who like to wear a little make-up—keeping it looking great all day. The beauty industry has responded with all kinds of long-wearing, long-lasting, all-day formulas, some of which work and many of which do not. Are there things that you do—not thinking products, more like application tips and tricks—to keep things looking the way they should, longer? Please share!

We’re all about budget beauty here, and I’m a firm believer that you can achieve high standards of beauty and healthy skin/hair/nail care for less. Personally, I’ve rarely tried any high-end products (and when I have, it’s usually because somebody gave them to me) and don’t feel I need to, but maybe I’m missing something. So, is there a high-end beauty product that even you budget fashionistas can’t live without?

What do you all think of e.l.f. cosmetics? I was hit by a spam email that claimed they had a relationship with Nordstrom. I cancelled my order when I found out that wasn’t true.

What do those of you who have tried the stuff think?

I started doing Bikram yoga as an exercise about one month after I got married, and I’ve kept it up ever since. I get cardio-vascular, strength, and stretching/flexibility all in one workout. And it’s amazing for my skin because I actually break a sweat, which releases toxins. It also gives me a great glow.

If you have cellulite, forget about spending all that money on those creams that don’t work. Instead, do yoga and concentrate on the Awkward series, which firms and tones the thighs like nothing else can.

Best of all, you can do it at home with the help of a book and/or video/DVD, so it won’t cost a fortune.
