Juicy Couture Bracelet, $68.00 at Nordstrom
You know I have to give the women behind juicy couture major props for being brilliant marketers. I mean anyone who can get people to buy $200 track suits made from towels with corny saying written across their butts deserves some major marketing cred. However, the extension of the brand leaves a lot to be desired. ($400 handbags that look ultra cheap, jeans for $150, etc.) And the 14k gold plated bracelets, shown above for $68.00, are no different. Why would anyone pay $70 for these bracelets, especially one the essential advertises a brand? I mean, couldn’t you find something like this on Canal or in Venice somewhere for like 10 bucks?

Fuhgeddaboutit!
No way. They are cute but the price is insane. For that price I want some jewels in it.
Huge NAY. You are paying for a piece of junk that only advertises for them. It’s sick how much they overprice Juicy stuff.. You can find better quality stuff at a store like Target for way less..
Nay! I think they look really tacky.
Nay… I think they’re tacky and way overpriced. Come to think of it, that’s how I feel about the whole brand.
Yeah, Juicy is definitely geared toward 17 year olds who shop with Daddy’s credit card. And it’s also geared toward 40 year old women who shop with their 17 year old daughters and Daddy’s credit card. Pretty much anyone who can’t spell sophisticated.
I DON’T CARE FOR THESE BRACELETS. HOWEVER, I DO HAVE 2 JUICEY LEATHER HANDBAGS AND THEY ARE BEAUTIFUL. I DON’T AGREE WITH THEM LOOKING CHEAP. BUT I MUST SAY THE LEATHER IS SO HEAVY THAT I DO NOT USE THEM FOR EVERYDAY USE. WHEN I DO CARRY MY JUICEY BAGS I GET PLENTY OF COMPLIMENTS. P.S. I DID PURCHASE THE BAGS ON SALE IN WOODBURY COMMONS AND SHOPBOP.COM. I WOULDN’T SPEND THE ACTUAL RETAIL PRICE, WHICH ARE LESS THAN REASONABLE.
Nay…they look chintzy; would rather spend the money on a more classic bangle that I could wear for years instead of a season.
I vote Nay. Juicy is totally overpriced and ridiculous. Even their outlet at Woodbury Commons is ridiculous. The clothing isn’t good enough quality to charge those prices
i’d rather wear that disney couture bracelet. well, maybe not that far. but these are just gross. and totally tacky.
Bleh, NAY! they look ugly, unsophisticated and cumbersome (at least if you have to work with your hand while looking fabulous all day). I think I’ve seen better even at Claire’s. Their handbags are so-so. I have friends with several, and although some look definitely cheap, some (particularly a purple one my friend has) look fabulous. I would pay that amount only for a classy, timeless bracelet.
Big nay. What is the point (other than to tell people you can “afford” to buy this junk).
Unbelievably tacky. Even if they were a gift, I wouldn’t wear them.
I have to say yea, with this exception. I buy my Juicy items from Loehmann’s and Smartbargains.com. I got a really cute pink all-leather tote for $85 dollars. I do like the jewelry. I have the CUTEST AQUARIUS charm that I get many compliments on!!!!!!
Definitely NAY. I think they’re pretty fugly. $68 is way too much for them, especially since they’re so trendy.
Not for me at all but they seem pretty compatible with the rest of what Juicy sells—flashy and kind of cheap looking.
As for Target, decent design at *mart prices is what they do throughout the store to begin with—that’s their market niche, that’s what distinguishes them from Walmart or Kmart or whoever else. Look at the non-designer branded stuff they sell—it’s very much the same look at the stuff with names.
Juicy Couture’s fan base is limted to those that feel they need to express to the world that their rear end is juicy. Seeing that spread across the behind of a 40 year old women is priceless, but like the pants these braclets are TACKY! why the heck would you purchase a 70 dollar braclet expressing your jucy stuck up attitude. If you want to spend 70 bucks on jewerly please go to Tiffany!
Those are tacky, but to the above poster: what Tiffany & Co. do YOU go to that sells $70 jewelry? I`m certainly jealous.
Wow…goes to show that there is a huge MARKET for anything with a label. They wouldn’t make them if they didn’t think they would sell.
I think $68.00 is alot of money for a bracelet..especially since it will be out of style as fast as it is in style. Good advertising for Juicy though..
SoHo Accessories
I like the gold, and I like the “idea,” but I’m tired of stupid phrases, and I’m even more tired of shameless branding.
Nay, I can definitely buy these bracelets on the streets of NY. They look really ugly and what if that cheap gold turns yellow.
the juicy couture label isn’t for budget fashionistas… like the lady before me said, people who are no brains and all money… that said, juicy couture has these beautiful quilted leather flats and fabulous quilted leather bags in very sophisticated color palettes… some of their shoes and bags are in classic colors and formultations… and who the heck buys juicy not on sale or not at loehmanns?
the one that says “her majesty” looks like a dog collar. its too much
68 dollars for a bracelet? I don’t think so!!! That is way too much…
If you take the words off of the bracelets, I would like them. If I actually spent more than $30 on jewelry, I could see myself paying $70 for a set of those bracelets minus the words. I like the look of enamel and gold. Juicy Couture, like the young celebs who wear their clothes and carry their accessories, seem to be overpaid, overexposed, and undertalented.
Those bracelets are a nay, but some Juicy jewelry is quite lovely. I’m too old for most of the clothing, but I do have a couple jewelry items that are fun.
To quote Jeff Foxworthy: You may be an excellent grandmother but you’re not “Juicy”
He actually said that! BTW, $68 is almost enough to buy two of the cheaper Juicy charms.
I give Juicy another 2 years before they bankrupt and end up at walmart.
NAY! I like them enough, but they just don’t do it. Maybe if they were $40 it would seem like a good over-priced gift for teems… but not this.
Nay but I did spend over 500 on lucite bracelet by Dior and a Chanel ring….But they are much more classic then this…Juicy is ok but it is really cheaply made…Kinda like DKNY like I use to buy when I was in high school
i kinda like them, but not $70 worth
NAY! these are hideous and cheap looking. I’m definitely all for lounging around in juicy terry cloth sweats that were on sale at loehmans but their jewelry is tacky and unsophisticated. You are better off saving up and investing in a Chanel resin bangle that will never go out of style and is much more subdued. The Juicy designers wouldn’t be caught dead with these bangles- they run around in Hermes and Manolos.
I personally think that they could look really nice teamed with the right outfit. Sophistication isn’t about what you wear its how you wear it. And at the end of the day if you’ve got the money why not. Please bare in mind that you lot have it cheap, I saw that bracelet in Selfridges, London last week and its price is the equivalent of 110 dollars. I agree that Juicy can be quite tacky but thats not necessarily the item, its the person. If Kate Moss wore it tommorow they would be sold out by the weekend and vogue would be calling it this seasons must have. Then again if someone like Paris Hilton wore it many would choose to use it as a serviette ring.
I definitely say…NAY, for one they are U.G.L.Y, they dont have an ALIBI. Plus the price is toooo steep.
I have less than luke warm feelings about either, I might wait till they go on clearance for $5 and save them for halloween.
Dear Juicy,
Have fun catering to 12 year olds who’s parents let them buy $68 tacky bracelets (but save your fabulous knits and jeans for us)
Love, Stella
P.S. The tracksuits need to go as well.
I totally agree – they look ugly cheap and Juicy Couture has never been a favorite of mine. I don’t “get it” at all.
I tell you, there is nothing more appealing than running around with “Juicy Girl” on your butt.
Not.
I actually have this bangle and it was expensive and yes it is cute. I receive a lot of compliments about it and not from teeny boppers. I also have a Tiffany necklace with the matching bracelet and that was expensive as well, with my Tiffanys set I paid a lot of money for sterling silver…
YAY!!! Yay for Juicy and all the they make. There tracksuits aren’t cheap, they are the best quality terrycloth and velour fabrics..sooo soft! And they fit amazingly, so those of us who look good like our clothes to show off our hard work and what our mama gave us ! the purses are very durable and cute! tons of spaces for your stuff!! The cutest socks and jewelry! The clothing is made for princesses and that is exactly who buys it. Of course there is going to be expensive brands out there, ever heard of Gucci or Chanel?
i think it is hott! I would SOOO buy it. i think it is butiful & gorgues!
