Retailers are grasping this season to find something, anything to get you to buy. As we’ve noted before, 2010 is all about recycling old trends. Gray? Check. Camel? Check. Leggings? Check. Return to Grunge? Check.
One of the most interesting is the emergence of shoulder jewelry – which is sort of like a necklace that is worn around your shoulders, similar to to how you would wear an off-the-shoulder top. Now, shoulder jewelry is nothing new (the accessory dates back to when Cleopatra and crew were working the Egyptian fashion runways) and it’s kind of an interesting way to add a little “sumthin’ sumthin’” to an other wise boring, basic white tee and would look super cute paired with a pair of simple diamond earrings.

It really depends on what clothes I’m wearing I think. The off the shoulder jewelry is something that would have to go PERFECTLY with what I was wearing, or I think it would look like I was just trying way too hard.
It looks like a trend for the twenty or teen somethings. I think when I was in those age groups I would have been too practical to want to deal with something that looks like it might easily slide around. It looks like a hassle to deal with. Adjusting my bra straps so they do not fall around my shoulder is enough hassle for me.
