Steal Her Style: Whitney Port

With her enviable glossy waves and cool-girl California style, fashion designer and former Hills star Whitney Port has one killer wardrobe that we’d love to raid. With an eye for fashion (she has her own clothing line), Port has a knack for adding a cool twist to girly dresses and cute prints.

Sure, she may have model-like legs making her look knockout in pretty much anything, but the fashionista’s style is super-wearable for all shapes and sizes.

We’re making it easy to mimic Whitney Port’s style, with this list of affordable wardrobe must-haves.

Sleeveless Jacket

Designer Whitney always adds an interesting piece to even the most basic of outfits. She pairs ankle-grazer jeans and black jersey top with a longline sleeveless blazer–and Whitney’s choice of jacket instantly takes her outfit up a notch. Team the ensemble with a classic tee or shirt (if you don’t want to show off your midriff). Also, opt for a neutral sleeveless blazer that will work with both the casual and dressier items in your closet.

Whitney Port’s go-to style is relaxed and casual. A fan of pretty shirt dresses in both ditsy and graphic prints, Cali girl Whitney always dresses things down by pairing feminine pieces with tough ankle boots or grungy sneakers. Stacked skinny choker necklaces and round sunglasses add interest to her off-duty look.

The Boyfriend Blazer

The Naked Heart Foundation's World's First Fabulous Fund Fair

If there’s one item in Whitney’s wardrobe that she turns to time and time again, it’s her classic black boyfriend blazer. The fashionista frequently wears the boyfriend blazer over strappy evening dresses or laid-back day dresses to add structure to floaty fabrics. A staple piece that won’t date, a black blazer is a must for every woman’s wardrobe.

The Sporty Separates

Whitney is proof that sportswear can still be feminine. The starlet’s sports luxe sweater and skirt still look chic thanks to the understated soft, neutral colors. Super comfy and casual, sporty separates are a great alternative to jeans and a tee. Prefer to keep your legs covered? Team your sweater with slouchy, tapered trousers for a twist on the trend.
