I’m a stressed out, working hard every day, trying to entertain 3 bored at home kids, Mom.  We’re not taking a vacation this year, its been a rough one and we’re just staying afloat.  It would be so relaxing and refreshing to have a day at the beach.

A day at the beach…it’s not really summer until I have spent a day at the beach. Requirements are few, warm temperatures, a long walk along the waters edge maybe even a quick swim from the pier along the harbor and of course some summer tunes on the radio.

I would love this package deal, as this year has been horrible.  I just lost my Mother on Monday to brain cancer, after only 5 months of the diagnosis.  She went through so much…for nothing.  I then had to put her in a nursing home in late April, then change to another one after she was not getting proper care.  My father is also in the nursing home.  I have only one brother that has just got his leg amputated June 13 and he could not be of much help.  I am so worn out, reading a good book & relaxing for a while sounds wonderful.  Thanks for listening.  Phyllis Jaco pjaco3113@cox.net

I wrote a whole sob story but then I erased it.  The truth is I need a day at the beach because I’m losing it fast (due to the sob story) and I really just need some time to remember I’m human.

I’ve always liked “long walks on the beach.”

However, now that I’ve started running regularly, I’m very excited to take a “long run on the beach.”

I love to swim but haven’t been to the beach in over 2 years. I am going to school full time to get my bachelor’s degree in business management and have no spare time (and money). I have always loved the beach. I’d like to find a huge shell to always hear the sound of the waves inside.

I am a 46 year old mother of 3(17,15,9)and a pharmacist who has been off of work, since November. On February 20, my sister(best friend) had brain surgery. On February 21, I had wrist surgery. In June a tendon in my ankle was torn, caused by flat feet and fallen arches that runs in my family. Because all non-surgical therapy has not worked, I will have to have surgery for this very, painful condition. Me and my sister’s last vacation was 3 years ago for our nephew’s wedding in Sagino,Michigan.  Because of my foot in the cast, and the pain I have not been able to spend many beach days this summer.  However it would be a pleasure just to dream a nice beach day.

I need a day at the beach!  I am a wife and a mother.  Each day I take care of everyone else’s needs and neglect my own.  Six months ago my husband and I took in our nephew because his mother died one year ago.  Each day we put aside our desire to indulge for our three boy’s (two sons and one nephew) needs and activities. I also work as a computer support specialist and have to work on resolving other peoples problems.  Please consider me for the Dooney & Bourke Weekender Bag giveaway.

I am needing a day at the beach since I am working mom to a almost 15year daughter. She is the best 98% of the time but a true teenager the other 2%. Plus it is close to 100 degrees in the South. A day at the beach what a break it would be.

Hi,

I have had two major surgery in the past ten months…the last six weeks ago.  So I have not been able to do much.  Being at the ocean is probably one of the most relaxing and enjoying things in the world to me personally.  I would like to go and just kick back, read a good book and listen to great music and just be for a day…no worries…just be happy!

Thanks,
Laurie

I need a day at the beach because I have spent the last two years in graduate school for engineering and then i spent a month in a third world country and now i am working a full time job where i was assigned 3 different projects on my FIRST day of work!  the guy I am supposed to be learning from also left for 5 weeks vacation the day i got to work.  a day at the beach would be a wonderful vacation to relax and enjoy the water and sun and as a reward for surviving graduate school. i grew up going to the beach once a year and it has been several years since i have had the chance to go and i miss it!

I am fairly new to your site but I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT!  I need a day at the beach because no matter how small I manage to make my pile of work reduce to, I have a habit of checking my email when I get home and am almost always disappointed to see that the requests have once again made the pile increase.  I need my day at the beach away from computers, pda’s, cell phones and all technology so I can relax with a CD of good music, a good book, and a boatload of beauty bounty to lift my spirits!  Thank you B.Fashionista!

I need a day at the beach to de-stress! I’m a junior in college. I just completed an eight week internship teaching middle schoolers in Atlanta. I am mentally, emotionally, physically, and emotionally exhausted. My entire life during these eight weeks has been devoted to my kids. I really need a day at the beach to get back to myself.
