I NEED a day at the beach! I’m a full-time student, even in the summer, given a unique program.  I study biomedical engineering with a concentration in biomechanics and hope to work in prosthetics or implants one day.  I just had 5 midterms in 4 days and I’m feeling burnt out.

What a great Contest BF.  I’m a long time reader but first time poster, I love this site AND your book.  I would love a day at the beach because I’m a stay at home mom and sometimes musician, and finding time to relax and read a book is, well, challenging to say the least!

I need a beach weekend because I need to just runaway from it all - work, the city, the responsibility. I just want to be.

I need a day at the beach so badly!  I recently quit my job because my boss was very mean and because I was having to work until 1 a.m.  I went back to work at a former job and while I like it, it’s very hard work.  They just fired a girl yesterday and one is on vacation, so most of the work will fall on me until she comes back.  I need to relax!  (And for the record, I adore Dooney!)  Please consider me.

I am a college Junior. All I’ve done since before I graduated high school has been school. And while that’s been great on my transcripts, it’s given me absolutely no time for any sort of vacation whatsoever. Finals for this semester ended yesterday and today I am scheduled for mild surgery. After that, I have about a week before I go back to college for Fall semester. I’m stressed out and tired, worn thin because of all the pressure that school has put on me, and all the things that happen outside of school (I’ve had a friend and a beloved grandparent both die this summer, and it hasn’t made this whole continuous school thing any easier). I just need a break.

I haven’t been to the beach this year yet.  Working five days a week (like most people) and babysitting my grand baby in between leaves little time.  But don’t cry for me…Will get a week on the beach in September.

I need a day at the beach because I have not had a vacation since last year! I’ve been working hard all summer and have not done more than take a couple of weekend trips. 8(

I need to feel the ocean breezes. The temp has been in the 90’s here for over a week and I have been running from one air conditioned place to another and would love to spend an afternoon outside with the smell of salt air and my music playing while the waves are crashing. Plus, I would love all the swag!

As a two-time cancer survivor of lymphoma & AML, part of my treatment plans included radiation therapy. Although I am now 23 years old and have been in remission for several years, radiation has made my skin very sensitive. I am supposed to steer clear of the sun, because I am high-risk for skin cancer.

I grew up near Rockaway Beach and I miss beach culture so much! Even though I work full time and will be a full time student again in the fall, I would LOVE to take a day off and enjoy this goody bag for a nice day at the beach.. wearing sun screen, a hat, and of course, under an umbrella, ella, ella..

I live in Wisconsin. While I tell me husband, who grew up on the beaches of New Jersey, that we do have beaches on the lakes…I only do that to drive him nuts. We don’t really have beaches here, and it’s been so hot we have a drought! A day at the beach is just what I need to get away from here.

Vacation’s all I ever wanted ... vacation, HAVE to get away!

I need a day at the beach because my husband just decided that he was going to the beach—for a bachelor party! I’ll be stuck at our home (without airconditioning) this weekend, sanding, priming, and painting all of our kitchen cabinets. Not a very fun way of spending the hottest weekend of the summer!

I desperately NEED a day at the beach because I haven’t been to the beach since I was young enough to get into the water with just an over-sized t-shirt on!!!! This would be an excuse for me to get that flyy black and white one-piece from Newport News that TBF showcased on here a while back. I received a giftcard for my birthday (back in April) to a spa and I could really use a pedicure….I don’t think I’ve had one since February (ewwww). So, you see this is a NEED, not a WANT! Please, please, please hear my plea and grant me this wish-upon-a-star for a day at the beach :)

This may sound trite, but I need a day at the beach because I live 45 minutes from the beach, am looking for a new job, and am moving to a new city with my fiance that is by far not 45 minutes from the beach.
I need a day at the beach so I can remember why I moved here in the first place. 
I need a day so I can not think about how I’m still looking for a job and relying on my fiance.  I need a day to think about where I want to go with my life, what I want to do in the coming months and, most importantly, to enjoy the feeling of the cool water flowing around my body and the fine, warm sand under my feet.

I am a single working MOM with two children and currently raising another siblling. In the summer I work seven days a week, and I am off three months of the winter. I will be pursuing my Bach degree in the fall so I never really get to relax until the winter but this would be a great reason to request a day off.

I need a day at the beach because I have never been to the beach. I have always wanted to go, but could not find the time or extra funds to take the trip. So this would be a dream come true!

I need a day at the beach to play with my grandchildren.  I’ve only seen them once this summer and miss them a bunch!  I’m lucky to have perfect grandchildren, so they’re lots of fun to have around.  I’m also lucky that I have one of each - a blonde, a brunette and a redhead!

Please consider me for your wonderful prize.  I need a break!!

I need a day away from it all more than words can say. I just went full-time at work so we could get extra money to buy a house and truck. Of course, coupled with that my husband has put me on a very restrictive budget for shopping, so much so that I can’t get anything without asking. I guess I overdid it a while back. My 18-month old daughter has entered her terrible twos early and is running both my husband and me ragged—-we have no time for ourselves, much less each other, anymore. I have laryngitis right now so I can’t even communicate unless there is paper and pen nearby. My daughter has shigella from preschool and it is one poopy diaper after another. My dog tracks in all sorts of dirt through her doggy door so we have to vacuum the floor multiple times a day, and the vacuum itself has become a permanenet fixture in our entryway. I ran the dishwasher two days ago and have yet to have the time to empty it—-how sad is that? I used to keep a REALLY clean house but lately it’s all I can do to change the towels out.

In any case, I love my life and would not want to trade it for anything, but still, a girl needs a day to herself every now and then!

I need a day at the beach because I am an exhausted mother of two babies in diapers—2 years and 5 months old. One has tantrums and the other has GERD. Either way, they both cry and fuss often. To top it off, I work in a Children’s library with faulty air conditioning, whining kids, rude teens, and ruder parents. In other words, I need a break.
