My perfect handbag has to have lots of room inside for my stuff, and also a good amount of pockets (mostly inside and some outside) to sort my stuff. It’s important for it to have a cell phone pocket too. It has to be sturdy (not stiff, just holds up with use), and I prefer for it to close with a zipper, but sometimes an open top with a magnet closure is good. It would have very soft leather and be soft in general but with some sort of shape. I like stuff that would hang off it, like large fake jewels or chunky beads. I like zipper pulls that stand out and have some sort of decoration on it. I’d love a really colorful bag, but just a plain black leather bag is more useful so I’d have to say that would be the perfect bag because it’s so versatile.

My perfect bag would either be black or brown. I know those are blah colors but it will always match with whatever you have on. I love it when the inside of the purse is soft and pretty. There has to be a pocket in the front or some type of way so I can stash a phone or a camera for easy access. I’m not a fan of small purses but rather a medium size purse so I can put my books in. I’m a junior in college so a purse that I can use both at school and outside is the ideal purse for me.

My husband can tell you I need this.  I’ll wear the same black pants and plain sweater for years but I can’t go near a bag shop without looking for a new one!

My perfect bag would be large enough to hold a paperback novel, my sunglasses, wallet, cell phone and keys, but not so huge that it looks like a diaper bag or dislocates my shoulder.

Hello! The perfect handbag for me would be a satchel - a LARGE satchel that is - with one strap. I am 27 and a mom of two. Space is a necessity but I am still young and love to have fashionable and stylish handbags. I adore sporting bling on my handbags so that would be a must. Also, it would have some sort of fun print. I’m not too picky as far as the print goes, except for the bolder and contrasting the print the better. I love hearts, pin-stripes, fleur-de-lis designs, and I love the colors black and white/cream. I love to be eye catching, but without being too over the top and attracting unwanted attention.

Thank you for this opportunity!

I’m always looking for a new purse…with a Blackberry, two sets of keys (work and home) and three checkbooks, not to mention my over-sized Aigner wallet inherited from my mom…my purse is always full. I’m constantly trying to balance between a full-size backpack and a purse with a shoulder strap. HELP! :)

my ideal bag would be on the shoulder, in a wine color, smooth leather, large enough to hold all of my everyday items w/o being bulky, and have hardware and details that make a statement.

The perfect handbag? Can it morph to change with my moods, wardrobe and location and manage to remind me to transfer any necessary information, (wallet, keys, work ID badge…) into it? I think I’d rather have many perfect-for-each-occasion bags.

My perfect bag? Well, at this very moment I’m crazy about those designer-inspired foldover convertible handbags. I’d also love a deep bronze chain satchel. Or an embellished studded white bag with lots of zippers. See why I need a new handbag once a month? :-)

My ideal bag would be small enough to hold my keys, wallet, cell phone, a small notebook, and a pen and pencil.  (I’m tired of using my coat pockets.)  It would have holders for the pen and pencil.  It would also have a few small outside pockets to hold change and tiny things.  The outside would probably be the most important thing.  It should be textured and quirky—I need to be able to spot my bag in the middle of a cleaning spree.  While it should be small, it should also have a strap long enough to go over my shoulder; I can’t stand clutches.

My perfect Handbag would be durable, playful looking and clasic at the same time plus it must stay easily on my shoulder.  I am chaseing two kids and don’t want to think about my bag too much.  Thanks for entering me into your contest.

Even though I’ve been following this site daily for several months now, it figures purses would draw out my first comment. My ideal bag is a medium, over-the shoulder bag. It has to be large enough to comfortably hold my wallet and other essentials without overwhelming me since I’m a whopping 5’0”.

I like purses that are modern looking without being super trendy because I like to invest in purses I can hold onto for a long time. Though, I have to admit, I’ve been enamored with giraffe print lately. It’s just so fun!

My perfect bag would have to be something that would never go out of style and would be durable. It would also be easy to accessorize so it could forever be trendy.

(Sorry, I accidentally submitted that before I could describe my perfect handbag.)

Well, I guess my PERFECT handbag would have a pocket into extra-dimensional space so that I could fit everything I wanted into it.  Think Hermione’s purse from the 7th Harry Potter book.

Realistically?  One that’s big, durable, stylish, goes with everything (probably black), timeless, and has a long cross-body strap instead of just shoulder strap(s).

My perfect bag is, well, perfect.  It has soft, supple leather that can withstand everyday abuses without showing wear, a strap that fits neatly under my shoulder and doesn’t rub off or mess up my clothes.  It looks perfect with every outfit, can hold all of my junk, and doesn’t weight so much that my back hurts from hauling it around.  And, finally, it must be the kind of effortlessly cute that never looks overdone and will look great for years to come.
