Water Powered Clocks: Go Green

In our green home, we’re always looking for small ways to reduce our energy consumption and electricity bills. We’re in love with Bedol’s water-powered clock. One less thing to plug in is always good, but these little fellows are so adorable that we’re going to buy them for our friends and family. And at 16 bucks, we can afford to. They come in blue, green, charcoal and orange. All you have to do is fill up the tank with water and it’ll tell perfect time. You may need to add a bit of salt to the tank, and you’ll have to refill occasionally, but it’s worth the minute that refilling takes. We’re not ones to buy into promotional copy, but the description for the clock really is dead-on: sustainable design and practical function are the keys to this clock. Even when its numbers notify us that we’re late for that doctor’s appointment, we’ll never feel ill-will toward this clock; it’s just too cute and eco-friendly . . .
