Wanna be on Project Runway? Head to the NYC Casting Call


What: Project Runway is trying to make some aspiring designers dream come true. If you missed the application deadline to be a contestant on the addictive fashion reality show, then you’re in luck. Project Runway is holding an open casting call in NYC on May 7th from 10 AM to 4 PM. This will be the only open casting call in the U.S. Make sure to come with your best designs.

What They Say: The open call is Friday, May 7th, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, at 575 7th Ave., New York, NY 10018 (Between W 40th St. & W 41st St.) Designers: bring five or six of your most recently made garments that demonstrate your sewing skills and fashion point of view. Please DO NOT bring bridal, costumes, or garments designed by you but sewn by someone else. No models please.Be prepared for only two of your garments to be looked at so choose accordingly. Also please bring a portfolio if you have one.

What We Say: We can only imagine how long the line will be come May 7th. We are sure there will be some great undiscovered talent and then there will be those who are just looking to make spectacles of themselves hoping to land a spot on an episode when they show the funny outtakes.

    I really think Project Runway is a great show for aspiring fashion designers. The last 2 seasons have had such great talent.
