The Lowdown: So few budget and mid-level stores these days cater to the petite and tall girls among us (note: Angela is 5’3” on a good day, and Kathryn is 5’10” even without her Russian fox fur hat, holla!). Which is why we are always happy to give props to the ones that do, like Banana Republic.

Still, prices like $70 for a cardigan? Clearly not budget enough for us, which is why we wait—like any good budget shopper—for a Banana Republic sale. Like this one, where prices are up to 60% off (that 70 dollar cardigan, for example, is now $40. Better). If you’re looking for dirt cheap, this isn’t the place, but seriously—the number of wears you’ll get out of pieces from BR make spending the additional $15 (assuming you have it) worthwhile.
