Fashion Week 2008: Top Colors for Spring 2008

Temperley London Spring 2008
Cantaloupe: The softer, gentler, orange is the color of the spring 2008. Score it now (especially dresses in this color) at end of summer sales and stash it away until next spring

BCBGMaxAzria Spring 2008
Silver Gray: Silver gray is this season’s neutral and provides a nice contrast to the brighter purples, oranges, greens, etc.

Spring Crocus: A.K.A. a more intense lavender. Surprisingly this color looks great on most skin tones, but really pops on darker skin tones.

Cynthia Steffee spring 2008
Daiquiri Green: Lilly Pulitzer fans know this shade of green. It’s not quite as bright as lime, but bright enough to make an impact on your wardrobe. Take a cue from the L.A.M.B show and pair it with your black items from summer 2007.

Good to know the emaciated look continues to be popular, too.  The BCBG model looks particularly malnourished.

I really like all the colors, though, particularly the lavender and the silver/green.

I LOVE the lavender with dark skin—but with the wrong style and sorry to say, size, it can go horribly wrong.

The BCBG model looks like a walking corpse.

This is my first time checking out the site and let me tell you i am one to follow couture, but I make my own rules about fashion. This site should not be about the models. It is about the clothing line, whether the females are eating or not is not the focus. don’t you get it? The spring colors to me look like a far stretch of this years falls with a touch of blended pastel added thats all. Basically the fashion industry seems desperate and is unrealistic as to what looks flattering and decorous on all shapes and sizes could you see a 350 lb woman in those colors. uugghh. It’s time to reinvent the fashion couture by replacing it with Realism.
