If there’s one thing I enjoy it’s the amazing transformation of celebrities who start as well, not necessarily ugly ducklings, but regular looking men and women. They’re naturally cute, but don’t necessarily have that brilliant-looking outfit, the perfectly messed up hair, or that certain radiance that makes the rest of us want to love them, hate them and blog about them!

interesting that jennifer has to throw on some long, flowing, straight hair, to be considered “beautiful.” we really need to get over this nonsense.
stop it right now….there’s no political hair agenda here at TBF (hello Angela Davis as one of my style icons?) and it’s a slight against those who do have straight hair (or choose to buy it) to assume they’re any less “black” because they choose to look this way. Hair is a choice and luckily I happen to be part of an ethnic group in which I can wear my hair short and natural one day and long and flowing the next.
Let it go…
Being a black woman, I KNOW that beauty comes in all different ways. J-Hud is gorgeous, and so is the iconic Angela Davis and so are countless other women in America. Buying into the standard of beauty is so trite, don’t you think?
