St. Patrick’s Day is around the corner and like most people, we’re psyched to get our green on. Big bonus for money-minded fashionistas: emerald green is Pantone’s Color of the Year, so rather than let that green top gather post-March 17th dust, we get to wear variations of the shade months afterwards without looking Leprechaun-obsessed.
Sure, we’ve already been to a few St. Patty’s Day parades (code word for: ”enjoying a mug or three full ‘o frothy yumminess and eating corned beef til our blazer buttons burst”), but there’s something about wearing green on the actual day itself that amps up the fun factor. We love green’s rich vibes and flattering shade options from jades and olives to limes and of course, emeralds.
Green Pieces that Get the Fashion Green Light
Feast your eyes on 17 great green pieces to wear on St. Patrick’s Day and in the months following. Not to worry, there won’t be any “I’m not Irish, but Kiss me Anyway” tees (so overdone) or accessories with plastic shot glasses attached (ditto). Personally, I’m excited about the green and white Revlon Nail Art™ (Neon Collection) as well as the pretty filigree cuff shown in the slides below. They’re perfect year-round, and I plan to kick off my new green finds at the March 17 2nd annual parade in Freehold Borough, NJ (hey, I can’t resist a shout-out to the Freehold Borough Arts Council and my New Jersey hometown). At some 500 yards, it’s been called one of the shortest parades around, but trust me, it’s big on fun and spirit.
So get ready to celebrate in style. Have fun out there and enjoy St. Patrick’s Day, ladies!
