Patchwork means different things to different people, and in the case of the patchwork purse, there seems to be room for interpretation. From the celeb end, it seems to mean diamond patchwork pattern (a more sophisticated take, natch), while much of what we see from retailers is more traditional patchwork (meaning, of course, patches of coordinating and/or contrasting materials and fabrics) like this Marisol Tote from Payless.
