Sonia Kashuk for Target

What: Sonia Kashuk’s Sheer Magic Mineral Face Palette, set to launch in November at Target.

What the fashion heads say: This, from Women’s Wear Daily: “Despite a market saturated with mineral makeup lines, makeup artist Sonia Kashuk is entering the category this fall with a Sheer Magic Mineral Face Palette. Similar to last year’s Solid Fragrance Palette, Kashuk’s goal was to create something simple for consumers to use.”

What I say: Can’t wait. Mineral make-up lines may be everywhere, but we’re always open to a quality product that’s affordable, easy to use, and easy to find at one of our favorite budget haunts, Target. Good concealer, blush, and foundation are hard to come by, and - even better - the color coordinating has been done for us. For a trio retailing at $14.99, we say it’s worth a closer look.

Can’t WAIT! I love most of Sonia’s products, especially her foundation and concealer colors. They never look fake or “overly pink”.

Cheers,

My question is: does it provide any SPF protection? That’s my new requirement for any foundation I buy.

Looks interesting - esp. the fact that the product comes as a “trio” (concealer, blush and foundation).  I’ll probably try it.

sounds wonderful.....hopefully the colors will be good for the girls with a litte more pigment in our skin. I’ve been having a time trying to find the right colors without looking ashy.

I’m looking forward to this. Most minerals don’t have spf protection and if I wear my moisturizer with spf underneath the minerals, the minerals stick to the moisturizer and go on uneven. And if I don’t use moisturizer the minerals make my skin look parched. I’m hoping this is not the case with Sonia Kashuk’s minerals. I’ve got my hopes up on this one because I really like her choice of colors and I can’t wait to try it.

I love this kit! I got the lightest set even though I thought the blush was too pink-I was wrong. (I have fair skin w/yellow undertones.) The blush goes on light and builds nicely.  The foundation coverage is a bit sheer for me, but this kit, some mascara, and lip gloss will get you out the door in 5 minutes.
