Ikea frame Sleek Frames: Look for LessWe admit we were excited about the release of “Sex and the City: The Movie” DVD, but it’s not for the reason you’d think. While everyone else has been smitten by the clothes (and they were beautiful, right?) or have been taken aback by the color of Carrie’s bedroom walls (according to production designer Jeremy Conway, Benjamin Moore’s Electric Blue is pretty close), we couldn’t get enough of the photo collage above her bed. And while we know you’re a pro at doing-it-yourself photo wall making (courtesy of our DIY: Unique Picture Walls article) we wanted to pass along some chic and cheap frame options that match Carrie’s fashionable (and enviable) style. Here’s what we found.

~ This Coliseum Wall Frame (from $18, pictured above) from Umbra comes with three layered white mats and a thick glass cover, adding a bit of ‘pop’ to the photo you’re trying to highlight (and it comes in three handy sizes (11×14, 8×10 and 5×7)).

~ This unique frame ($19.99, pictured above) is perfect for displaying black and white (or even sepia) photos (that black matting is incredibly unique and sleek). It holds three 4×6 pics and is available in a larger 8×10 size as well.

~ And finally, if you’re having a hard time deciding on just one kind of frame to use, we suggest you turn to the great organization house Ikea. Their Ribba (from $4.99, pictured above) frame family comes in half a dozen sizes and in several colors (birch, black and clear acrylic).
