Chandra Bath Oil

What: Angela soaks away stress with Chandra Bath Oil, $16.95 for 3.4 ozs.

The Lowdown: I’m a bath person, and am always on the lookout for a good product that’ll keep me from drying out during those long soaks. Besides purporting to be kind to my skin, Chandra’s Pure Sweetness Honey & Vanilla Blend promises calm and soothed senses, and isn’t that really what a bath is all about? Unlike most products that promise a “calming” fragrance, this one actually delivered—not overly sweet, just subtle and rich. And the “Pure” part of the title isn’t just sweet talk either—this oil is as pure as it gets, listing only sunflower oil, apricot oil, castor seed oil, almond oil, honey and vanilla bean infusion on the label. It’s also paraben free, and not tested on animals. Now if only it could scrub the oily residue out of the tub when I’m done, we’d be all set.

Yea or Nay: It’s so hard to say Nay when I really liked it, but for $16.95 for 3.4 ozs? It really would need to scrub the tub. I think I could get the same approximate results with some baby oil and a fragrant candle (lit, not in the bath, natch).
