Post-MTV Movie Awards: The Superlative Edition

Let’s face it. The MTV Movie Awards isn’t exactly the Oscars. The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn- Part 1 is Movie of the friggin’ Year? First of all, no respectable movie with “Part 1” in the title should win Movie of the Year. Secondly, sure, we enjoy ogling at Taylor Lautner’s 6, scratch that, 8 pack just as much as the next gal (umm, until we realize that he was born in 1992! Egads!), but seriously? Twilight? Movie of the Year?

So, the MTV Movie Awards can’t be taken seriously from an aesthetic, cinematographic perspective, but they’re pretty darn fun to watch. Well, it was fun, except when Johnny Depp accepted the MTV Generation Award. When did hotties that we grew up with posters in our rooms get to be recipients of the “Generation” Awards? Shouldn’t the “Generation” Award go to for actors like Sean Connery?

Inspired by the show’s unconventional award categories like “Best On-Screen Dirtbag,” we’ve come up with our own categories from last night’s Red Carpet. Enjoy!
