Nicole Richie Launches Fashion Line at Macy’s

Nicole Richie — Fashion Star judge and official poster child for le boho-chic — is the latest designer in the limited apparel line parade, with her Nicole Richie for Impulse line due to debut online and in 100 Macy’s stores in mid-September. The collection, according to Macy’s, will feature “1970s influenced silhouettes, prints and fabrications. Richie’s covetable designs for Macy’s will infuse fluid garments with bohemian glamour, offering fashion forward looks at an affordable price.” Affordable here translates to prices ranging from about $49-$149 — we approve.

Richie joins iconic designers such as Karl Lagerfeld and Alberta Ferretti in the Macy’s limited collection stable, and since Macy’s is one of the retailers taking part in NBC’s Fashion Star, this partnership isn’t the biggest surprise. But here at TBF, we love both Richie (whose fashion sensibilities we’d define as ready-to-wear Olsen-twin-esque) AND Macy’s, so we’re pumped.

According to Macy’s, however — and of course, this is all part of the “hype it and they will come” game — the line is expected to sell out in just two weeks, so for those about to shop, we suggest you get your mouse-clicking finger in top form by fall.
