What: Move over black eyeliner; navy blue is making streaks.
The Word: According to the March 2008 issue of Elle magazine, Dick Page, the makeup artist for Shiseido the Makeup, lined the lids of models in the Narcisco Rodriquez 2008 spring runway with an indigo gel liner. “[Navy] is more mysterious than basic black.
Our Word: We likey. Now that spring is in the air, black just seems so dreary. Navy is a fabulous and flattering shade that often gets overlooked. Navy still has the dark allure of black without the harshness, and also has an element of pop that helps accentuate the eye area without being overly bright. Try rimming your lids with L’Oreal HIP Eye Liner Pencil, Navy for $8, then pairing it with a stained lip. With this look, a hint of color on your smackers won’t compete with the navy eye. Just apply your lipstick, then blot with a tissue.

navy?? i dunno. kinda skeptical on this one.
It’s pretty! I saw the makeup artist from TLC’s “What not to Wear” apply it on a darker skinned woman. It looks great on dark skin.
