I love Maesha Brueggergosman (pronounced: Mee-sha Brew-ger-gaus-man). Seriously, I have a MAJOR “girl-crush” on the Canadian Opera diva.

Maybe it’s her cool hair (her hair tips are amazing and budget friendly).  Or that her new album, “Surprise”, which was just released this fall on Deutsche Grammophon, gave me a new appreciation for classical music.  Or it may be because she’s a breathe of fresh air, developing her OWN style, in a world full of predictable and, dare I say, boring celebrities.

We chat about hair products, cold weather, and shopping in New York.

I love that you did a shop talk with Her!.  I have just started to get into Opera. (living in Toledo, it’s not exactly a cultural center). You’re words are right on. She truly is a breathe of fresh air.

sunnygoddess-

She was so much fun. I’ve interviewed alot of folks, but few were as fun and real as Measha.

Take a look into Anna Netrebko and Malena Ernman. They’re great examples of the modern opera singer.

I love Measha too! Not only is she an amazing talent, but she’s also a down-to-earth, hilariously funny gal who I’d love to spend a few hours with at Starbucks. I’m a music buff and had never heard of her; after checking out tracks from her album on Amazon, I’m so glad I did! Thanks, Kathryn, for turning us on to this gem of a lady.
