What: Lela Rose Fall 2010 show reigns supreme with an eclectic collection of romantic sophisticated pieces.
What They Say: The Fall 2010 collection centers around the graphite drawings of nighttime skies. Combining dimensionality and straight color, the Fall 2010 collection uses natures surface textures to recall the romantic conceit of it’s brilliance and constant evolution. Draped and molded shapes recalling wind blown eroded landscapes and fragmented lace and liquid silk in colors such as sulfur mars red, mercury and cobalt bring an otherworldly essence to the collection.
What We Say: Every woman wants to feel and look glamorous when it comes to evening wear and many of the pieces in the collection did just that. All we can think about is how finely tailored, rich in color, and sculptural many of the pieces were. With luxurious beaded and lace jackets, structured full circle dresses, strategically draped gowns, this collection is sure to please women of all ages. Doses of shimmer, shine, and horizontal stripes gave each piece it’s own personality. We felt like the collection brought back what some designers have been lacking, and that is elegance and sophistication. It was nice to see looks that made you feel like it’s now cool to dress like a lady again.

I love the one shoulder long dress w/ the gold belt…it looks like it just makes you feel pretty when you put it on. Also I just want to say that I enjoyed reading this article…well written piece.
I also love the piled-high updos. Three cheers for feeling like a lady.
