The Lowdown: Prom season is just around the corner, which for girls means one of two things—either the most exciting social event thus far, or another thing to stress over. For lots of girls, the expense of prom means they either pass it up, or feel less than stellar on the big night. Enter Operation Fairy Dust, a nonprofit organization that provides New York City high school girls in need with a prom dress, cosmetics and accessories.
