Somewhere between fashion-forward Target and fashion-confused K-Mart lies Kohl’s Department store. Growing up in the midwest, I remember Kohl’s mostly as a grocery store and then later as the department store where I begged my mother to purchase me a Miss Piggy Muppet Doll.  Recently Kohl’s has started to emerge as a fashion force for those who may be intimidated by Target’s youth obsessed hipness. Items at Kohls are both accessible and cute. Kohls also has the best children’s department, far better than Target, whose children’s clothing tend to make your seven-year-old look like a mini Britney Spears.
