What: Jessica Simpson, no stranger to success in the fashion biz, is hardly done building her empire. She’s now collaborating with Jones New York on a full denim collection, featuring jeans to jackets, that will hit stores this July. So far, prices range from $29 to $79 (not too painful). She’ll be making the rounds at Macy’s, Dillard’s and other stores to hype the line before it’s launched.
What They Say:
“She has a very strong point of view and would be in here working long hours on this, sometimes up to 12 hours or so,” Jones jeanswear CEO Jack Gross told WWD. “I have to say, I didn’t really expect to see that.”
What We Say: We find it difficult to believe that Jessica Simpson would invest 12 consecutive hours into anything, let alone a fashion line, but then again – what else does she have on her plate right now? Hopefully the line will be more like her shoe line and less like her previous denim line (and we also hope she’ll actually WEAR clothes from the line)

I’m glad to see this. Jessica’s handbags are terrific and her shoes are too. I know she doesn’t create them all by herself but she seems to have some good ideas. I think for now she should play to her strengths.
Her shoes are so comfortable, I think her platform pumps are some of the more comfy that I’ve put my feet into. I am glad to see her price point is reasonable and I hope her designs are just as fashionable & comfortable as her shoe.
