Lane Bryant return policy

Timing: 45-60 days

You can generally return goods to plus-size store Lane Bryant within 45 days of the purchase date for a refund, assuming you have the original receipt or packing slip. The window is 60 days if you made the purchase with a Lane Bryant credit card or you are a Lane Bryant Reward member.

If you send the return later or you don’t have the receipt, you may get merchandise credit instead of a refund. The credit amount will be the lowest selling price on that item.

Products eligible for return

Most unwashed, unworn, and undamaged items are returnable except for those marked as final sale or as is. If the price ends in 98 cents, it’s a final sale item.

Also, Lane Bryant reserves the right to refuse returns on items that are no longer carried in stock.

Shipping charges: $7.95 return shipping

If you use Lane Bryant’s return shipping label, your refund will be reduced by $7.95 to cover return shipping. You will not be refunded any shipping and handling fees you already paid on online orders.

Where to return instore vs. online purchases

You must return in-store purchases to a Lane Bryant store. Bring your original receipt plus a photo ID.

You can return online purchases and phone orders by mail or in-store. Opt for in-store returns if you can to avoid the $7.95 return shipping fee.

Refunds

Refunds go back to your original form of payment. The only exception is if you used more than three forms of payment. If your receipt shows a third payment type labeled as “multi,” that amount will be refunded as a gift card or credit card of your choice.

If you mail in your return, you will get status updates by email. Once your return has been processed, it can take up to two billing cycles to see the credit on your bank statement.

Exchanges

If you need to make an exchange, take your item and original receipt or packing slip into a Lane Bryant store. Otherwise, you’d have to process a return by mail and then buy the item you want as a separate transaction.

  1. Make sure your item is returnable. Look for any indication that it’s final sale. Final sale items cannot be returned.
  2. Choose whether you’ll do an in-store return or mailed return. In-store returns are free, so that’s the better option. Note that you cannot mail in a return if you purchased the item in the store.
  3. For in-store returns, find your nearest Lane Bryant store. Package up your item with your original receipt or packing slip and head to the store.
  4. For mailed returns, find your order number and request a shipping label here.
  5. Take a photo of your packing slip. Package up your item with the original packing slip. Print and apply the shipping label. Drop your package off at the nearest shipping location. See label for details.

Returns would be much easier to make if a prepaid sticker was supplied and then you deduct that amount from the amount to be refunded.. I probably won't order from you since I have to go to the post office to mail back, in case something doesn't work. Too inconvenient....most every company I deal with does this. Please reconsider and start this with your company
