Easy returns at Zappos
I’d love when I get to make sense of non-sensical retail return policies. Some stores have so many rules and exclusions that organizing that information is a fun challenge. Unfortunately for me, Zappos is not that store.
The Zappos return policy is straightforward. Here’s what you need to know: You can return any item to Zappos within 365 days of purchase as long as it’s unworn, has the tags, and you send it back in its original packaging. Zappos pays the return shipping for you.
Note that Final Sale items are not eligible for returns or exchange.
There are three ways to send your unwanted item back to Zappos. All three options begin with you getting a return code from Zappos here.
- Pack your order and take it to a UPS Store. Put your return items into a box and tape it up. Find the return barcode from Zappos in your email. Take the box and the barcode to your nearest UPS Store. A store associate will scan the barcode, print your shipping label, apply the label to your box, and send your items on their way.
- Bring your items in their manufacturer’s packaging and drop it at a Whole Foods Market. You don’t need a shipping box for this option. Take the item to Whole Foods and show your QR code. The store associate will handle the rest.
- Pack your order, print the shipping label, and drop the order off with UPS. You can also print out your own return label and attach it to the box. From there, all you have to do is drop the package off at an authorized UPS location.
Exchanges are also available on eligible items. To confirm eligibility, you must log into your account and find the order in your history. From there, follow instructions. Your first order amount will be refunded to an egift card that you can use right away. Buy the item with the egift card and send your original order back within 14 days.
