Lord & Taylor Return Policy

Lord & Taylor’s return policy got a lot simpler when the chain closed all its physical stores in 2021. Here’s the scoop on how to return items you bought at Lord & Taylor’s online store.

Timing: 30 days

You have 30 days from the order ship date to return your unwanted merchandise. After 30 days, all sales are final.

Products you can return to Lord & Taylor

You can return merchandise that is in new condition. That means it’s unworn, unwashed, and undamaged — and all the tags are still attached.

Items marked as final sale are not eligible for returns.

Specific product categories have additional rules:

  • You must send back footwear in dust cover and in the original box. You have to place the shoe box inside another box for mailing.
  • Opened beauty products are not returnable.
  • If the product had an hygienic liner when you bought, that liner must be on the product when you return it. This applies to hosiery, lingerie, and swimwear.
  • Jewelry must be returned with all packaging and paperwork.

Return shipping fee: $9.95

Lord & Taylor charges a return shipping fee of $9.95. This amount will be deducted from your refund. Lord & Taylor describes this fee as “minor,” which I think is funny.

Refunds

Refunds, less the return shipping fee, are credited to your original form of payment.

Eligible gift orders are refunded by way of merchandise credit to the gift recipient.

Refund timing

Once your return is received and verified, Lord & Taylor processes refunds within seven to 10 days. You should get an email when your return has been processed.

To request an exchange, locate your order number and go here to initiate your request.
