I use St. Ives Apricot Scrub every morning on my face and in the shower. Inexpensive and it works great!
I put a towel on my pillow and put conditioner in my hair over night. Wake up in the morning and shower, my hair is soft and shiny.
Put lotion on when your skin is still damp from the shower. Skin gets soooooooooooooo soft that way.
Got one from Oprah. Strident on heels of foot and then Lotion or Vaseline and socks and in a week my feet were crack free.
Drink lots of water
Sleep on your back as much as you can to prevent wrinkles!
Also—rinse your natural curls in cool water.
I love my AHA for fine lines on the face.
An oldie, but goody. Toothpaste on a pimple overnight to take away the redness.
Spritz some perfume on your hairbrush and run it through before you go out—your hair will smell great and it lasts all day
My top beauty secret is drinking a full 20 oz bottle of water every morning as soon as I get up and before I eat anything.
I’ve been using coconut oil on my skin as a lotion. It sounds gross, but it really does go on just like a lotion. And it smells great! I put it on overnight, then in the morning my skin is so much softer than if I had used a lotion. Just be extra careful not to let it touch your face, I’m assuming it would make you break out.
I use masks when I take a shower. the mask stays moist and I think the steam from the shower helps it penetrate better.
I shampoo and condition my hair before I go to bed, but I don’t rinse out the conditioner. I put on a shower cap and go to bed. In the morning I rinse it out, and I have soft, shiny hair!
I use Skin So Soft bath oil. I put it on before I dry when I get out of the shower. When I dry it buffs the oil into my skin. This leaves my skin smooth and soft all day, plus it keeps away biting insects.
I know that everyone says this but sunscreen is the most important thing you can do.
Deep conditioning my hair with almond oil once a week.
I take a daily supplement w/ coenzyme Q10, alpha lipoic acid and flaxseed oil in it
I put Preparation H around my eyes at night…it keeps them from being puffy the next morning…the benefit far out weights the slight embarrassment of purchasing hemorrhoid cream at the drug store!
Tea Tree oil—-great for pimples. And, smells like the spa!
Kitchen exfoliant—- corn meal! Helped clear my skin!
When I feel a zit coming up I get out my face steamer and my skin clears right up.
Not sure of my beloveds’ secret to beauty is. But she wants to keep a healthy and beautifuly body both inside and out. As a bologists she likes to know the best ingrediants in any product to do the best for her skin. She eats lots of fruits, she has used a number of Lancome products and so far has found them to be the best but is always willing to try others for comparison and effect. Would be a lovely Christmas present
right before you turn off the shower, blast some cold water into your hair. it closes up the follicles (or something like that) that opened up when under hot water, and it helps to decrease frizz. really good for us curly haired gals
I purchase vitamin E capsules and break them open then apply the pure vitamin E at night, under my cream. My skin stays so soft, even in winter and it just feels more sanitary than dipping my fingers into a pot every day.
I always wash my feet whenever I change shoes; never wear the same socks/hose twice; and clean my shoes, inside and out, after each wearing. I give myself a weekly pedicure and use a special foot cream - my feet are very soft.
