Exfoliate at least once a week
Wash your face with cool water only and stay out of the sun.
ALWAYS Moisturize…......Everywhere!
drink water
Bag balm for seriously dry skin. Smells bad…works good!
In the winter always put creamy lotion on my arms and legs as soon as I get out of the shower, after using homemade sugar scrub in the shower.
Vaseline - one of the best, simplest, and cheapest body moisturizers out there..great for feet, elbows, lips
When your skin is feeling itchy and dry, I recommend taking oatmeal baths. It’s super simple and cheap. Take a cup of uncooked oatmeal, grind it in a food processor or blender, and add it to your bath. This was heaven sent when I suffered from shingles. Even after I healed, I take colloidal oatmeal baths every so often to relieve my dry skin (thanks Chicago weather!).
I moisturize as often as I can. Works especially well if I do it straight out of the shower.
Apply bath oil/body oil as soon as you get out of the shower..when your skin is damp it will soak in more.
I like Tea Tree Oil for quick acne control. I bought a bottle from Aveda and when I get a nasty pimple, I simply put some Tea Tree Oil on a Q-Tip and apply on the spot. It will help clear it up in a day or two. You can also put a few drops of it in your facial cleanser.
My best skin care secret? I don’t know if it’s a secret but when I shave I use lotion then baby oil then shaving cream and I never get razor burns or nicks! Well…unless I slip, lol ;)
spf spf spf
Wash your face every night and moisturize even if you have oily skin!!!
100% pure glycerine…great for dry, rough feet!
Tinted moisturizer
My best secret is to always wear sunscreen, even in the winter! The best is moisturizer that already has SPF in it.
Periodically I use jojoba oil when my skin gets very dry, but I otherwise haven’t been taking much care of it…
Aquaphor. Works wonders on cracked heels, chapped lips, rough elbows and cuticles.
drink lots of water and moisturize every day
wash face with dove and use an opened vitamin E pill to moisturize before bed
Immediately after shaving your legs, while they’re still slightly damp, apply your moisturizer. It locks in the moisture to keep them super soft.
Drink lots of water. Lots and lots.
In the shower, use body wash and a loofah instead of soap to exfoliate skin a little every day.
In the winter I suffer from dry and tearing cuticles that can get sore and unsightly. My best skin care secret for this problem is to rub a small amount of antibiotic ointment (such as a triple antibiotic or Neosporin)into my cuticles at bedtime. This promotes speedy healing and really soothes and moisturizes.
