What: The Project Runway star/super model sure knows how to keep herself busy, even after three pregnancies. Time to retire, no? Her crazy work ethic is somewhat good news, however, for mothers-to-be everywhere. She’s launching not 1, but 2, maternity lines, called Lavish and Love. Lavish is for A Pea in the Pod (if you recall, Nicole Richie also came out with a maternity line for this retailer), while Love’s for Motherhood Maternity. We won’t get a glimpse until February 12th, when the collections go on sale in stores and online, but “apparently” both lines are distinct. We’re guessing Love is just going to be significantly cheaper (prices, so far, range from $128 to $30).
What They Say:
“I experienced fashion challenges during my four pregnancies and combined my knowledge of what works in terms of style, comfort and practicality to create these lines,” Heidi said today in a statement. “Being pregnant shouldn’t stop you from being fashionable and feeling great about your changing body. It’s an exciting journey.”
What We Say: We’re really confused about why Heidi’s splitting up the lines between two retailers, but with some items costing $40 and $30, we can’t complain too much. We think this top fashionista probably has some good ideas about what fellow expecting moms will enjoy wearing. Next time, just give us one big, good, affordable collection, though, Heidi!
